Navajo silversmith Thomas Jim is known for his amazing silver work. This famous smith comes from the western side of the Navajo Nation in Arizona, an area known for great silversmiths. Some of you might just see a simple necklace, but this work of wearable art is anything but simple for a metal smith. The fluted beads are the first works of art, especially the barrel beads with the fluted edge. When you get to the bottom pendant you are going to be impressed by the naja filled with a deep red cut of Mediterranean Coral that Thomas has surrounded with the perfect design of repousse silver. Thomas uses an old style finish against an oxidized background to bring out the great style of the silver work.
