One of the most impressive sights in the Four Corners is the Hopi Eagle Kachina Dancers. These magnificent performers always draw very large crowds to the Hopi Reservation. Navajo silversmith Philander Begay honors the eagle dancer with this magnificent tufa cast cuff. The large dancer is very detailed and is in full wingspan. On the other end of the cuff you will find the sacred San Francisco Peak near Flagstaff, Arizona. Philander uses a piece of turquoise and shell to decorate the eagle's mask. Growing up close to the Hopi Reservation has always been an influence of Philander's work. It is always very impressive when Philander carves a full body dancer into his silver.
