We get visitors from all over the world to Gallup, New Mexico to experience the Indian culture found here. However, one group of tourists really stands out in numbers, the Japanese. The Japanese love American Indian silver and stone, especially well-known artist and classic American turquoise. Navajo award-winning artist Lyndon Tsosie has taken this love relationship one step further. Lyndon along with his artist friend Olin Tsingine take Navajo silver and stone to Japan. They have made the trip twice and I believe are planning another. The Japanese appreciate the dedication that both artists give their work, perfecting their style. Lyndon made this revival style cuff with coin silver and placed a big piece of Kingman on the tufa cast silver. You could wear this on vacation to New Mexico or Japan, either place would love your style.
