Harrison Bitsue-Traditional Navajo Sandcast Bracelet
Product Description
Details
Navajo silversmith Harrison Bitsue has a tool box filled with old sandcast patterns passed down from earlier generations. This style of bracelet has been made from the beginning of Navajo silver. Early silversmiths would gather their own stone and use a very primitive technology of heating the silver and pouring into the mold. Harrison uses a beautiful piece of Turquoise Mountain for the setting. The Arizona rock has a gorgeous blue color with a fascinating brown webbed matrix. Harrison surrounds the rock with twisted wire, styled drops, and traditional stamp designs. You will love the natural flow of the sterling silver around the turquoise, creating a true Navajo classic.
