Calvin Desson-Sitting Bull Inlay Bolo-Magnificent Work
Product Description
Details
Navajo lapidary artist Calvin Desson made this magnificent bolo. He has honored a Native American icon with this bolo. Sitting Bull was a Dakota Sioux Chief and Medicine Man. Sitting Bull defeated General Custer at the famous Little Big Horn Battle and is arguably the most recognizable American Indian around the world. Calvin has recreated the famous Sitting Bull head dress pose with a combination of jasper, shell, coral, lapis, and jet stones. The inlaid portrait has been set in a heavy sterling silver triangle border and placed on a very nice and thick bolo cord. At the bottom of the leather strap are two excellent heavy silver tips. What a great piece to show your appreciation of First American history and wearable art. This is a ribbon winning quality piece that will make any collection better.
