Zuni Trader C.G. Wallace played a critical role in developing the Zuni jewelry trade. He also used many Navajo silversmiths to create silver pieces for the master Zuni lapidary artists, plus they made him lots of traditional Navajo pieces. Some names have become famous because of his collection of work that was auctioned in the 1970s. Navajo silversmith Ike Wilson was one of those legendary C.G. Wallace smiths, and also the Grandfather to the late Harry Morgan. We have two plates that Ike Wilson made during the 1950s. One has a little Zuni influence with a large Thunderbird, and the other is like a corn design with flower blossoms. Each is beautiful done and in excellent shape, something that will show wonderfully in your home or office.
