Billy Betoney-Amazing Concho Belt-Ribbon Winner
Product Description
Details
Navajo artist Billy Betoney has a very appealing and interesting style of art. His work has a lot going on. He beautifully combines different techniques into an original Betoney style. This belt has a heavy silver overlay design that uses ancient inspired Native American design. You will also find the belt filled with a Zuni style of lapidary work, hand cut needlepoint stones. Billy uses a combination of coral and turquoise on each concho. This beautiful cluster style and overlay look is seen in the majority of his work. The belt was awarded a second place red ribbon in the 2010 Gallup Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial. It has a total of 16 pieces, all done in the same style with the buckle being a little large than the conchos. You will be blown away by the belt, a true museum piece, and perfect for collectors of Native American silver and stone art.
