When you think of Native American bead work the Plain’s Tribes come to mind, like the Souix. We do not see much beaded work here, so when this necklace and belt came into the store we found it very interesting. It is not made by a Souix, but is a locally made Navajo piece. Navajo artist Ann Black made this very interesting set. She has used a repeating Navajo Ceremonial basket and each piece he is using traditional colored beads. Something a little different that is sure to get you noticed. You will want to be wearing this to the next Pow-Wow you visit.
