Most of the time when you come across a private collection of old jewelry it has been sitting in a drawer for decades. The original owner who purchased the items on trips thru the Southwest passed them on and the lucky new owner was not as attracted to the beauty of silver and stone. That is exactly what happened with this old antique collection we are putting up on the online Trading Post, they have been put away for 30 plus years. None of the pieces look like they have been heavily worn, but all have that put away patina. This ring is Zuni handmade and circa 1950s. Pettipoint is a signature Zuni style that looks amazing. One of the reasons that the Zuni became lapidary experts was they had electricity in the Pueblo and could use grinders to create this small stones. This cluster of blue turquoise looks right at home on top of the easy fitting ring split shank.
